Das größte schleswig-holsteinische Jugendschachturnier des Jahres steht an: Die LandesJugendEinzelMeisterschaften (LJEM) in Neumünster. Insgesamt 222 Kinder und Jugendliche, darunter 17 Doppelbauern, werden in der kommenden Woche um die Landesmeistertitel der Altersklassen U8(w) bis U18(w) spielen. Dabei können sich zu Turnierbeginn mehrere Kieler berechtigte Hoffnungen auf einen vorderen Tabellenplatz machen bzw. befinden sich teilweise sogar in einer Favoritenrolle. Heute starteten die „Großen“ (U14-U18) bereits ins Turnier, während die „Kleinen“ erst am Mittwoch dazustoßen.
