Beim 9-rundigen IM-Turnier im dänischen Fredericia spielte Keyvan Farokhi nicht nur um den Turniersieg, sondern vor allem um seine erste IM-Norm – mit Erfolg! Mit einer starken Leistung von 6,5 Punkten aus 9 Partien sicherte er sich die heißbegehrte Norm. Lediglich gegen den späteren Turniersieger, IM Nikola Krasimirov Kanov, musste er sich geschlagen geben. Herzlichen Glückwunsch zu diesem großartigen Erfolg!
Ebenfalls am Start waren unsere Doppelbauern IM Rasmus Skytte (5,5 Punkte, 3. Platz) und Vitus Bondo Medhus (4 Punkte, 7. Platz), die ebenfalls solide Ergebnisse erzielten.
Noch weiter nördlich war Jakob Pajeken bei den Kronborg Masters im Einsatz. Auch er überzeugte mit einer starken Leistung: Mit 5 Punkten und nur einer Niederlage erreichte er einen sehr guten vierten Platz.
