Das Riga Technical University Open 2024 war im A-Turnier mit 286 Teilnehmenden nicht nur quantitativ gut besetzt, sondern auch qualitativ. Mit dabei war auch Jakob Pajeken. Mit einer Wertzahl von 2416 war er auf Rang 36 gesetzt. Nach 9 Runden, einer Verlustpartie gegen den Drittplatzierten und sieben Punkten, kam Jakob auf Rang 2 ins Ziel. Herzlichen Glückwunsch zu dieser herausragenden Leistung!!
Jakobs Leistung wird auch dadurch unterstrichen, dass er eine GM-Norm erzielte.
