In der vorletzten Runde rotierten vor heimischen Publikum Ashot Parvanyan, Magnus Arndt, Daniel Kopylov und Keyvan Farokhi ins Team. Das Ganze mit Erfolg. Magnus und Daniel gewannen ihre Partien. Parallel setzte sich Reisepartner HSK mit 5,5:2,5 gegen FC Bayern München durch. Damit ist der Klassenerhalt für die Hamburger mehr als realistisch.
