Gestern begann in Baku der Weltcup und gleich vier Doppelbauern sind am Start. Für Jonas Bjerre und Ivan Cheparinov lief es gut. Beide gewannen ihre Auftaktpartien gegen etwas schwächere Gegner und können heute mit einem remis in die 2. Runde einziehen. Kämpfen hingegen muss Anton Demchenko (erstmals unter slowenischer Flagge), der seine Weißpartie überraschend gegen den international völlig unbekannten peruanischen FIDE-Meister Giuseppe Leiva verlor. Szymon Gumularz spiellte remis gegen seinen Freund und Trainingspartner Igor Janik. Dritter im Bunde dieser Trainingsgemeinschaft ist Pawel Teclaf, der ursprünglich als Sekundant mit den beiden mitreisen wollte und seinen Trip nach Baku auch schon nahezu fix geplant hatte. Aufgrund der unglücklichen Ansetzung ist er nun zuhause geblieben....
